You’re Invited: Join Something Bigger Than You

stir it up

’m at one of those junctures of life: I want more of God.

I’ll explain it more practically: Have you ever had a food that you really, really love? Maybe it is a croissant at your local coffee store or a fruit that you just can’t get enough of…so, daily, you keep buying it. Day after day, you cannot get enough.

Until one day, much like eating the 20th bite of a yummy dessert, the amazingness of the flavor loses its taste and wears off. After all those bites, the dessert gets – normal not exceptional.

Ever experienced this? Well, I’ll admit, at times, I get this way with God.

During these times The Word of God is still active, but it may feel less penetrative. Over the years, I’ve learned, God is likely calling me to meet Him other ways – via worship, prayer or stepping out in faith on something…

When things go dry – it is vital to ask, “Why”?

Often, we think we need to – know God more, when God may be calling us to – step out in faith more. To live out His Word more.

Is He nudging on your heart right now? you feel a nudge on your heart – that this is for you… That you are being called to step out . To move in ministry. To impact the world. Maybe you don’t know how…

Do you want to find your calling? Do you want to – live meaning?

Studies show: Finding meaning is what creates true happiness.

If this is you, I encourage you to apply to the 2nd “Calling Cultivator Pilot”.

The first “Calling Cultivator Pilot,” the results were solid. Many applied, few were chosen. Lives were touched, many got blessed. Women are continuing in their calling… It was a success.

However, I want to roll out “Calling Cultivator Pilot II” in a more practical format… I believe, as we start small, God will give us wisdom on our big call. Even more, together, we can form a collaborative ministry with great capacity to expand, to raise up leaders, mentors and teachers from these very groups. I may be getting ahead of myself….

This is where we are starting.

Calling Cultivator Pilot II (“Be a Blessing” Army of Women):

Choose the 1 area you are most called to (apply here):

  1. “Pies & Prayer” – We started this in my family. Here’s how it goes: You buy or make a pie/goodie. You pray and ask God to give you wisdom on who may need encouragement… As you go to the person’s house or meet them on the street you let them know how God led you to them and ask if they need prayer. Then, you pray and talk about Jesus. God has led our family to people about to commit suicide, to those who just came out of the hospital and to those in desperate need.
  2. “Bibles & Sticky Notes” – We have also done this as a family. Here’s how it works: Ask a church if they have unused bibles (let them know your intent to give them away). A lot of churches have old bibles. Then, when you are on the road, drop them outside a rest stop (or grocery stores or anywhere else). Add a sticky note with a word of encouragement, a verse or hope for the person who picks them up. Alternately, scripture notecards can be inserted in library books.
  3. “Rara Encouragers” – Encourage. If you are at the grocery store, give the cashier a word of encouragement. If you are at the coffee store, encourage. Mention The Lord as you are prompted. Notice the beauty God has put in people and tell them. Send notes. Write cards. Be the light to the person who is grumbling. Tell them what good you see in them, because of God.
  4. “Giving Girls” – You are a giver. You will give to the poor. You will notice the person in church in need and give them something you own or something you bought. You will give a meal. You will give a hug. You will give a craft that shines Jesus’ light. You will give one of your favorite pieces of jewelry to a woman who feels completely undeserving but amazed at God, because you gave it. you will give a large tip to a waitress. Big or small, you will give and point to our BIG God.
  5. “Love the Body of Christ” – This is meant for those who really love the church and who want to build up the body. You are called to such things as – encouraging the encouragers (the pastors, the leaders), noticing the servant who is unseen, recognizing the new person at church, bringing a card of appreciation to a seat-setter upper, praying for leadership, emailing thanks to the pastor, praying for the people who attend your church.
  6. “Power Prayer Warriors” – You will highlight specific people to pray for and pray. You will pray for this “Blessing Army” ministry with the others in your group. You will pray for what God leads you to pray for as a group. You are called to be an intercessor.
  7. “Mom & Women Blessers” – The two groups from Pilot 1 are currently doing this. You are welcome to join in on mentoring younger women and helping to assist women in need. For instance, have a dinner or a coffee hour and invite women over. Set up the group with both fun and deep spiritual questions. This is very important to Jesus.

Pick a group from above.

Over time, there will be many passion groups that will form. They will grow into different things as God leads, but this is our starting point. Let’s do this together.

Within your group, you will: – Pray – Be equipped for the mission – Encourage one another and be accountable. – Share testimonies of success. – Come up with new ideas – Speak about what God is teaching you – Learn how to evangelize out of these open-door opportunities – Grow as a leader – Discern your calling – Learn Discipleship – Down the road, have opportunities to speak or teach in the larger group.

Are you interested? Apply here. All I require is that you be committed.

Commitment: – Eight Weeks. – Available for one of the two launch calls (where I will present the whole program), texting, weekly meet up calls with your group, and final results call. Note: Your group size will depend on the response size.

Apply here.

Prayer: Father, give me courage. Help me to step out if you are calling me to do so. I don’t want material happiness that comes and goes, I want real meaning. I want purpose. I want to impact this world and build an eternal inhertance. Give me courage to step out and to follow through.
